With one MC being a witch with the power to create electricity, you'd think he could create some between himself and the other MC. However, that isn't the case. This was a reluctant merging - a romance that was ho-hum at best. And the plot of the story was fragile, as well. A contrived plot to remove the magic powers of a witch who the Coven felt was a troublemaker. Really? That's the best the author could come up with? (Aren't most paranormal characters "trouble" to some degree. Why have supernatural powers if you can't use them?) Even the basis for the coven's displeasure seemed weak. (The MC uses his electrical abilities to rig a jackpot win in Vegas and that brings him to the Coven's chopping block?)Hardly something to worry about. What was more worrying to me was the apparent lack of an editor and proofreader for this book. The repetition of previous thoughts by the MCs was extremely annoying and there were countless spelling errors and missing words. I won't be reading any other books in this series. I've had this book in my TBR list for a while and just finally got around to reading it. I wish that I hadn't waited because this was excellent - though I suspect that the full series has been published by now, so I don't have to wait to binge on the whole thing.
